About Maxwell " Silver Hammer" Shiraz 750mL
Maxwell 'Silver Hammer' Shiraz opens with a deep, inky crimson hue that hints at the intensity within. On the nose, bold aromas of blackberry compote and crushed dark plum are lifted by a seductive waft of cracked black pepper and smoky charcuterie. A subtle violet floral note adds elegance to the brooding profile. On the palate, the wine is rich and generously structured, with layers of dark cherry, blackcurrant, and mocha unfolding across the tongue. Velvety, well-integrated tannins provide backbone without aggression, while a thread of dark chocolate and cedar spice from quality oak aging adds complexity and depth. The finish is long, warming, and persistent.
