About Pooles Rock Shiraz 750mL
Pooles Rock Shiraz opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe blackberry, dark plum, and crushed violets, underpinned by a subtle waft of cracked black pepper and smoky cedar. On the palate, this Hunter Valley-influenced Shiraz delivers generous, plush fruit — layers of blackcurrant and boysenberry — supported by well-integrated oak and a silky tannic structure. The mid-palate shows impressive depth with hints of dark chocolate and licorice, while the wine's natural acidity keeps everything lively and balanced. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and a touch of earthy minerality that speaks to the wine's regional character.
