About Water Wheel Old Mill Shiraz 750mL
Water Wheel Old Mill Shiraz is a richly expressive Australian Shiraz from the Bendigo region of Central Victoria, where the warm continental climate produces wines of depth and character. On the nose, it opens with an inviting bouquet of dark plum, blackberry, and cracked black pepper, underpinned by subtle notes of mocha and dried herbs. The palate is generous and full-bodied, delivering waves of ripe dark fruit — blackcurrant, mulberry, and boysenberry — alongside a savory backbone of leather and smoked meat. Fine-grained tannins provide structure without austerity, while well-integrated oak lends a touch of vanilla and cedar. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and dark fruit that speaks to the quality of the Bendigo terroir.
