About Forest Hill Block 2 Riesling 750mL
Forest Hill Block 2 Riesling from Mount Barker in Western Australia is a benchmark expression of cool-climate Riesling craftsmanship. On the nose, it opens with an arrestingly pure bouquet of fresh lime juice, crushed slate, and white blossom, underpinned by a subtle waft of green apple and talc. The palate is tightly wound and precise, delivering a laser-like beam of citrus acidity that carries flavours of lemon curd, lime zest, and crisp green apple, with a mineral backbone reminiscent of wet stone and a delicate floral lift of jasmine. The wine's natural acidity provides remarkable tension and freshness, hallmarks of the Mount Barker subregion. With age, expect the development of classic Riesling petrol notes and honeyed complexity, though in youth it is vibrant and electric.
