About Pressing Matter "R139" Riesling 375mL
Pressing Matter's 'R139' Riesling opens with a luminous, pale straw hue and an immediately expressive bouquet that speaks clearly of cool-climate precision. On the nose, lifted aromas of white peach, Meyer lemon, and fresh lime zest are interwoven with delicate jasmine blossom and a telltale whisper of slate minerality. The palate is taut and energetic, with vibrant natural acidity providing the backbone for flavors of green apple, preserved lemon, and ripe nectarine. A subtle hint of honeysuckle and a flinty, petrol-like nuance — the hallmark of quality Riesling — emerge with a moment in the glass. The wine is beautifully balanced, with residual sweetness held perfectly in check by the wine's electric acidity, giving it an off-dry character that feels refreshing rather than cloying. The finish is long, clean, and mineral-driven, leaving a mouthwatering impression that invites the next sip.
