About Urlar Late Harvest Riesling 375mL
Urlar Late Harvest Riesling from the Gladstone region of New Zealand's Wairarapa opens with a luminous golden hue and an intensely perfumed nose of candied mandarin, preserved lemon, and ripe apricot, underpinned by delicate notes of white blossom and a whisper of petrol that signals classic Riesling character. On the palate, luscious honeyed stone fruit and dried pineapple are beautifully balanced by the variety's signature racy acidity, preventing the sweetness from becoming cloying. The wine's biodynamic origins lend a purity and mineral tension that cuts through the richness, with a fine slate-like quality emerging mid-palate. The finish is long, clean, and refreshing, leaving a lingering impression of citrus zest and orange blossom honey.
