About Fraser Gallop Chardonnay 750ml
Fraser Gallop Estate Chardonnay from Wilyabrup in Margaret River is a beautifully composed, restrained expression of the variety. On the nose, it opens with bright white peach and nectarine layered over fresh grapefruit zest, with a subtle waft of toasted brioche and struck flint hinting at careful oak and lees work. The palate is precise and energetic, delivering white stone fruit and preserved lemon alongside a creamy cashew texture derived from extended time on lees. Fine-grained French oak integration adds structure without dominating, while a thread of saline minerality runs through the mid-palate — a hallmark of Margaret River's gravelly Wilyabrup soils. The finish is long, focused, and refreshing, with lingering citrus oil and a chalky mineral persistence that invites the next sip.
