About Prosper Maufoux Bourgogne Chardonnay 750mL 2023
Prosper Maufoux Bourgogne Chardonnay 2023 opens with a luminous pale gold hue and an inviting nose of fresh white peach, lemon zest, and delicate acacia blossom, underpinned by a subtle mineral quality reminiscent of wet limestone. On the palate, the wine is poised and precise, delivering ripe pear and green apple alongside a gentle creaminess that speaks to careful winemaking. The acidity is bright and refreshing, providing excellent structure without austerity. A restrained touch of toasted brioche adds complexity without overwhelming the wine's inherently Burgundian character. The finish is clean, mineral-driven, and satisfyingly persistent.
